Short Marsh Ride

Recommended Posts

It was mostly cut short due to the grass blockage. Which you’ll be able to see clearly. That ditch was wide open for a few miles as recently as a month ago or so.

That's Coo;!, Good picture quality. Is that Grass like the Everglades, just sitting on top of the water like a mat, or is there Sorta soil  and the water's in Channels?

Little of both. That stuff we got stopped by is all floating. If you got out and walked on it, you might be able to walk and you might fall through.

Its basically nature doing some hydroponics.

Need to release some hippopotomice in there to eat all that swamp.

The marsh is good, no need to get rid of that. It’s a barrier for storm surge, watershed for flooding and acts as a habitat for hundreds of various water animals. Including prized breeding and hatching grounds for shrimp and game fish in the salt marshes.

There is storm water catch basins all over my part of town that have attracted all kinds of wildlife. They built these when everything started to be paved over, preventing water from being absorbed in the soil. It allows water to seep down slow.
